Dragon Aging-90 Days Old by LicianDragon Dragon Aging-90 Days Old by LicianDragon
Lasvoien dragon 90 days old(144 earth days). They're more stocky at this age than they are at 30 days old. They can now fly very short distances but will mostly ride atop their mother. It is at this age that they gain the first use of their element though it will be many years before they have full control over it.
They are starting to speak at this age as well and are able to change into their vora form(which will look like the human equivalent of a 2 year old).

With the way this looks, if you took the time to draw every scale on to the dragon, I praise you. The level of detail on it is incredible. The little guy is cute and all around has a look of innocence about it. I especially enjoy the way it's wings have been designed and eyes looks right at you. The only fault I can think of in this piece is the lack of a real noticeable background. A deeply contrasting color would be too much for it, while a detailed background would take away from it. A minimal nature setting might be a good placement for behind it. A further note is that it shows you've studied animal body structure of more than one sort. That also adds to the enjoyment of it's design.

Hello, *tardis101 from #ProjectComment here!

First of all, welcome to our group! We really hope you enjoy your time with us! :)

I'd like to start by saying that this is SO cute! Those big blue eyes are so beautiful, and the highlights, accompanied by the different shades of blue, really make them stand out! They look so soft and emotional and I wanna give the dragon a cookie because its so cute!

I also love how you made it look like a young one by giving it stumpy horns, rather than just making it small! Not only does it add to the cuteness but it makes it clear to the viewer that this one is only 3 months old! This way, they don't have to ask if it's a baby or just a small dragon!

The detail in the scales is also fascinating! I spent ages just staring at them! Its clear that you took a long time to draw each individual one, and it has payed off! The dragon has a lovely texture - the highlights you added compliment the scales by giving them a moist/wet look! Which is how most dragons are, especially bubble/water ones!

In addition, I love those wings! You created the folds in them very well, and the shading gives them a real sense of depth and volume!

To improve, I would try to make the pose "flow" a bit more! I understand that this is a stocky dragon, but maybe making him spread out a bit more will have a great effect on the picture! Personally, I'd like to see more of his tail, to give it the effect of flowing! This will make the picture look more natural!

One final note, maybe his fingers/claws on the right hand (our right) could be made longer, to make them look more reptile like!

Overall this is a really good piece, I love the colours, and as I said before, this baby is sooooo cute!

I hope you found this comment both helpful and constructive!

Woah, all those scales! That must have taken forever! Are they all done by hand?

Thanks! Yep, all my scales are drawn by hand ^^; when I first started drawing them like that it was a major pain but once you're used to it, you fall into a sort of rhythm and it takes no time at all!

I love the pose and the concept behind this piece. I especially like the bright, expressive eyes. In future pieces, I think maybe you could use more lights and darks, but otherwise, nice image. + fav, for sure. :)

Thank you very much! What is it you mean by more lights and darks? Do you mean more dramatic lighting?
